Friday, July 15, 2022 - I need to stop popping any Bordeaux less than 15 year old. Deep luscious ruby core with subdued rims at its edges. Nose; black fruit, tobacco, pencil shavings & classic french oak. Palate; med body, mid-to-high acidity, firm initial dusty tannins. Decanted for 3 hours - opened up to some mocha & chocolate notes. The nose began to slowly resolve & soften but palate remains young & firm. Peak drinking period perhaps somewhere in 2027-2030. Too bad this is my only bottle
