Wednesday, November 18, 2015 - Now down to my last few bottles from a case purchased back in 2011. This is still drinking beautifully. Absolutely gorgeous on the nose. Powerful, complex aromas of leather, flowers and earth - along with just a touch of heat. Full-bodied and very rich. Its ripe, opulent plum and blackberry fruit may have faded slightly, but there is still plenty left. The front palate is initially a bit sweet, but quickly transitions to a broad, deep mid-palate that features tantalizing notes of leather, chocolate and mineral. Finishes very long, with loads of delicious fruit and slightly chewy tannins that are well-integrated. So polished, complex and delicious. Outdrinks Maremma Cabernets and blends that cost three times as much. Amazing. 93+
