Monday, November 1, 2010 - There are a lot of these reserves floating around, so note this is Alexander Valley and produced by Five Gold Hands.

This one doesn't come together as one of the better offerings in TJ's reserve line. Fairly straightforward flavors of red fruit and a little oak. I was about to note the firm tannins as a plus, but then they started to seem bitter, even while the wine simultaneously tastes slightly sweet. Currant shows on the second day.
