Saturday, May 26, 2018 - Medium garnet in color with a bit of orange & clearing at the edges. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of strawberries, currants & cherries with overtones of dried orange peel & floral notes of roses, minerals, earthy/dusty, dried herbs, anise, spices & a hint of tar & cedar notes. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe red fruit flavors of red cherries, strawberries and tart cranberries with dried herbs, minerals, earthy, some truffles, spices & oak. Long lingering dry smooth finish. Drinks quite well with decanting and extended airing although it has potential to continue developing with further aging.
