Wednesday, October 1, 2014 - Still the same straw color. Peach and honey notes. Quite on the sweet end of Spatlese. Bright acidity. Long finish. Paired with lamb curry, paneer. Stood up to the spice easily. Suffered in comparison with the same vineyard's 2001 Hochgewächs. [Note: this wine coming into its own three hours later, as I savor the last glass after clearing up after the tasting dinner. So stay tuned as this one ages.]
