Saturday, September 23, 2017 - Second Brunello of the evening. This is less gamey than La Poderina 2004, it has some very ripe and sweet cherry and wild strawberry fruit, the high alcohol makes this quite full-bodied, but it also has enough balancing acidity, some earthy notes too; round and supple on the palate with soft tannins and a long finish. As usual, a perfectly elegant Brunello by Lisini. Some found it had less character than the wines before. I guess tthat is a question of preferred style. I liked this a lot. Good now, but no signs of age. - 91 points
