Monday, April 20, 2015 - Decanted for an hour. Not explosive on the nose, but what's there is quite alluring. Dark pinot fruit, hints of perfume, resin and a musk funk. On the palate, easy drinking. Not a ton of structure. Generally agree with Burghound re: start drinking it 2017 with two caveats. First, it's quite pleasant now. Second, while probably better in 2017 (or even 2016), I don't perceive the bones for extended aging. I think the peak is a year or two off, but might be rather short, at least for my tastes. FWIW. Good QPR at $25. A nice change of pace for me, given a cellar that trends more heavily to domestic pinot.
