Wednesday, July 13, 2016 - Took to a wine dinner and it was remarkable how similar this and a 2010 Aubert Chard were, both of which were outstanding. Amazingly fresh with not a trace of oxization, premature or otherwise, but no reductive quality either. Perhaps a bit more Puligny-esque than typical Meursault as this was minerally with spice inflections and tropical nuances rather than big richness. So focused, and wonderfully refined. Geez, an intellectual Meursault. Fabulous, and astounding for the age and tariff.
