Thursday, November 22, 2012 - Thanksgiving dinner with friends. Decanted, four hours and it kept evolving in the glass. Still shows quite some life, powerful and well extracted with velvety tannins, long finish, nose of black fruit, chocolate and anise, more anise, plum, cocoa and olive on the palate. Feels as cab dominated as the blend suggests. Great example of Napa potential with blends as the merlot definitely rounded out the cab, makes one wish there was more meritage rather than single varietal there.
