Monday, September 11, 2023 - Very enjoyable Fronsac, love the merlot cherry fruit. Very clean fruity nose, almost new world, as are the flavors. I had a glass last night with lots of swirling but no decant and while a bit restrained there was plenty if fruit to enjoy with a simple steak dinner. And now after 24 hours open the tannin is very nicely integrated with the fruit and a 15 second finish evolves with blackberry and chocolate notes. I drank the first six of these a little early it appears but the wine is now entering its prime. Enjoy for next five years at least.
