Friday, March 29, 2019 - Finally got around to posting... Light brick orange color and super soft cork. So soft that the cork just disintegrated and fell into the bottle. We decanted through a fine filter and gave it a try after a few minutes. There was no sign of musty taint or vinegar smells, so I gave it a go. Both the nose and palate were so completely dominated by nutty sherry notes that any other nuance was hidden, or had completely faded long ago. Way past prime, but a fun learning experience for all who had courage enough to try a 43 year old bottle.
