Wednesday, January 12, 2022 - Light purple with a clear aging brown to the rim. The nose is first dominated by sweet cherry/raspberry fruit. After a while minerals - crushed stone, gun powder and chalk - emerge, making it a quite complex aroma. Medium bodied attack, almost pinot-like fruit reminiscent of red berries in the mouth. Then the tannins and the acidity kicks in, leaving a somewhat drying feel on the finish. Still, the red berry fruit is what dominates the aftertaste. High acidity, very fresh. Long. This is really a wine for food, try roasted chicken. Will keep for many years and probably evolve positively over at least the next five years.
