Monday, August 27, 2012 - Decanted for 5 hours. This wine is more about details and subtlety than power and concentration. Floral, meaty and brooding on the nose with some tobacco aromas. On the palate, dark fruit, tar and layers of flavors that I just can't find words to describe. Structured but elegant with a beautiful mouthfeel. What makes this wine a 95 in my book is the lengthy finish. Drinking surprisingly well now but I'll wait at least a few years before opening another.
