Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - A very nice Ribera del Duero. Lots of plum, currant and vanilla character on both the nose and palate. Full-bodied, showing very good depth and intensity to its luscious, tangy fruit flavors. The long, rich finish features firm tannins and notes of smoke and black licorice, but is just a bit oaky. Delicious now, this will probably be even better in a year or two when the oak and tannins are more fully integrated. A tremendous bargain at just $11.75 on Cinderella Wine. 89+
