Friday, May 1, 2020 - Superb nose of black and blue fruit with a hint of salty sea smoke. The color is a translucent red with brick orange at the rim in the glass. The fairly well extracted fruit is enveloped in a quasi-syrupy mouthfeel with black tea and non-effervescent cola flavors. The acidity is appropriately balanced and the initial pour has a long mid-palate and finish of Amarone cherry flavors. The wine has actually become more concentrated and extracted with the black cherry flavors exuding exponentially and filling out the palate in all the points of the compass. This is our last 2009 Goldridge and we salute the genius of Tom Dehlinger.
