Definitely in the savoury end of the spectrum, feels like rugged terrain in a bottle, gum trees, fennel, earth, black cherries and lovely undergrowth and herbal flavours. Wonderful example of Wendouree shiraz, medium weight only, well balanced, great length and tannins a highlight. Less about vibrant, bold juicy fruit and more about a great expression of place in the glass. I think this is why people seek out Wendouree, such a unique style quite unlike most others.
