Thursday, October 17, 2013 - Leitz tasting (NU Bistro, Budapest): Developed, but somewhat unusual, not a classic aged dry white profile. Smells like a sweet Tokaji, with interesting earthy, shoe polish notes, as well as some petrol. More complex than the younger versions, but the palate is not utterly convinving. Somewhat mellowing, acidity highish, still it's oily and a bit flabby, lacks zest. Also a bit metallic and salty, which is somewhat distracting. Hard to rate, some could adore the complexity, others dislike the taste. I'm kind of in the middle.
