Sunday, August 12, 2012 - Clear, day bright, and dark ruby in color with medium-minus viscosity.
Layered aromas of plum, blackberry, wild currant, and black cherries that are packaged with aromas of walnut, cured meats and cedar.
The nose translates to the palate with enjoyable, cherry, currant and plum fruit flavors, with a core of toasted walnut as well as cedar and tobacco flavors that follow through to the moderate finish that includes light touches of spice and cocoa powder.
Slightly thin in the mid palate. The drying tannins are met with moderate acidity.
