Friday, April 12, 2013 - Opens very promisingly with herbal aromas, soy, chocolate, and dark fruits. Full body, med/low acidity, mildly tannic, ripe dark fruits and very oaky (coffee and vanilla) on the finish. Negative time derivative: oak dominates more on nose and palate as it opens up. Really good wine and tasty overall, just in a style where eventually vanilla and barrel spice cover some very nice fruit material.
