Sunday, April 21, 2013 - 50/70 Celebration continues at Clooney Restaurant (Ponsonby, Auckland, New Zealand): Rich and racy with vivid acid, plenty of pinot weight yet finishing bone dry and lean. The wine's balance between the impression of weight coupled the bright finish makes for an almost transformative impression on the palate. Heaps of character in this outstanding wine. Not as perfect as the Dom Perignon drunk the previous night, but this wine is arguably the more interesting.
