Saturday, March 2, 2019 - Fom a Brunello tasting covering 2004 to 2008. Deep brick colour, fine core towards ruby. Mushroom, a bit damp cellar, some dry wood, and quite little fruit. Sweet attack on the first taste buds, then dry tannins, fine acidity, sweet fruit on the mid palate, and a fresh and dry aftertaste. A very nice wine, but in comparison with the company in this tasting (Casanova di Neri, Talenti and Il Poggione), this is a rather straightforward wine that is nice to drink. Will keep for quite a lot of years, but I doubt it will get better.
