94 Points

Thursday, May 21, 2015 - Burgundy dinner (The Grill Room at Capella Hotel Georgetown): One of those unicorn wine. Pop and pour, it feels like an intense version of the Clos des Mouches, deeply toned and mineral but pretty straightforward especially compare to the other wines in the flight. However with air, it really improves by gaining weight and mineral expression. Ripe deeply toned yellow pit fruits, lemon, slightly unripe yellow peach, mint, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, mineral and steely, sweet deep yellow fruit driven palate impression, perfect amount of acidity and lovely long mineral finish. Though not showing a lot of GC finesse, it displayed the perfect balance. Incredibly mineral wine. Started around 92 but ended up a couple points higher.
