Friday, March 1, 2013 - The new Bedrock offer is up so I decided to try tasting '09 Griffin's Lair vs. the '10 Hudson TnS Syrah.

Color: opaque inky purple -> dense inky rim. Fantastic nose of blackberry compote, gunflint, minerals, creosote. Palate showed some smokey gaminess, tobacco and blackberries again. Excellent structure (almost stern) and I can see this continuing to develop positively for a long time to come. Delicious and definitely the winner of the cage match vs. Griffins Lair.
