Friday, November 20, 2020 - Marginally oxidative at first with some unpleasant dusty cellar notes, but nothing a good swirl couldn't resolve quickly. A bit thin in terms of aroma intensity. But otherwise very fine and elegant and with flavours expanding nicely over time. Mostly pear and citrus fruit and very mineral overall. Amazingly fresh and crisp with just right amount of enough bubbles left. Distinctly melted butter with more time in the glass. Not a great vintage for DP and supposedly past its drinking window, but in my view if you catch a decently stored bottle this is provides for a fantastic champagne experience.
