94 Points

Wednesday, April 9, 2014 - This time the color is medium ruby. Initially, I got a dusty raspberry nose, but this abated to the previous aromas of black cherry, strawberry, cinnamon, sage, floral scents and oak. As with the last tasting, the flavors are the same, along with raspberry and spice. Big, rich and concentrated fruit in the mouth. Excellent structure as well as balance. A long and lingering finish. The wine seems a bit more developed and intense now. A lot closer to its apogee now and it's going to be hard for me to keep my hands off my remaining bottles. Again, the wine pairs very nice with baked salmon. Gaps Crown is really becoming one of my favorites.

Thanks for the comment. And, a really nice wine too. I'll look for the Kosta Browne 2012s. The 2012 pinots are supposed to be pretty good across the board. I've tasted the 2012 Sojourn Sangiacomo - it was good, but not as good as in 2010.
As a side note, I used to live in Denver as a child for a couple years. The snow was over three feet deep one year!
    Regards,
