Thursday, January 28, 2016 - 1989 vs. 1990 Bordeaux (Vaucluse): 89 vs 90 tasting. This was the first Petrus I ever tried but unfortunately it was a bit of a let-down. This came after a long night with many phenomenal left bank wines preceding the Petrus and Angelus so probably not a very fair comparison. Would love to try this on its own some time. That being said, I preferred the 90 over the 89 again. Stewed red berry flavors and complex aroma in a full bodied round package.
