Friday, January 23, 2015 - Just when we thought the holy grail is very close it got even better! Super complex notes of dried fruits, tobacco, tar, pepper, red berries, perfumed crushed flowers and sweet spices. It’s full-bodied but very Burgundian with medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin that is very silky. Very long finish with a lot of complexity and freshness. An absolutely fantastic, perfumed but classic Barolo of the very highest level. Its beauty left us speechless… WOTN for 2 in the tasting group, No. 2 for me (after Bartolo Mascarello 2010). (98+ p.)
