Saturday, May 23, 2015 - What an amazing find on a restaurant wine list!!! Similar to the bottle of February 2015. First slightly holding back but with some air a knock-out nose of truffle/earth, tobacco, spices (pepper, licorice), tar, menthol, crushed flowers, some red but also plenty of dark berries. On the palate it's mainly darker fruit with crushed flowers, menthol, tar and tobacco. Breath-taking aromatic complexity even at this young age. It's medium-full bodied and very dense but still kind of weightless, with medium-high acidity and medium-high tannin that is super silky and of the very highest quality. What an amazing wine this is! I can just taste it again and again over the course of the evening and it's showing something new everytime. Wow! Too bad these wines are just almost impossible to source.
