95 Points

Saturday, February 27, 2016 - Decanted 45 mins. Deep opaque red showing little signs of ageing. Amazing nose - masses happening. Overwhelming minerality backed up by blackcurrants, violets, bitter chocolate- very perfumed, some smokiness. Palate is big - lots of very fine tannins balanced with good acid. Palate showing some minerality as well - very precise, graphite feel. Real depth with ripe blackcurrants. Long aftertaste. This is a young wine with a classic Claret feel to it. Needs time to fully open up. 2020-35.
