Sunday, December 2, 2012 - Popped and poured, tasted over 3 nights. Light yellow hue. Pleasant, somewhat refrained aromas of stone fruits, tangerine zest, honeysuckle, and minerals with subtle herbaceous undertones. Light to medium-light body with moderate acidity. The flavors in mouth are largely similar to what's presented aromatically, albeit one exception being a strange, off-putting volatile characteristic (almost like you'd find in watered-down scotch). However, after 24+ hours of being open, the disparate elements smooth over to leave refined flavors almost akin to a white originating from the Northern Rhone, with somewhat blowzy fruit buoyed by an impression of minerals and acidity. Deceptive length on the close.
An intriguing white, and one which needs aeration or another 12 months in the cellar...if anything, day 3 certainly seems to indicate that this should only get better with short term cellaring.
