Monday, June 6, 2022 - 1990 Le Pergole Torte opens with clear aromas of oxidation on the nose (meat broth and lovage); with a little aeration in the glass, this weakens and tertiary aromas become more attractive: damp earth, a hint of soy sauce and dried cranberries. On the palate, it shines with a nice, ripe acidity and fine sandy tannins. Balanced overall, the remnants of a red fruit go well with the subtle spice notes. Overall balanced and aged gracefully; very well stored bottles like this, still bring drinking pleasure. Nevertheless, the peak has passed and remaining bottles should be drunk.
