Saturday, April 20, 2013 - Pop/pour. A blue fruit rendition of cab fruit. Relatively straight forward and linear. Decent flavors, but not terribly complex. Some tannins make a presence with time in the glass. Though fairly priced for what it is, I've enjoyed prior vintages more.

This did not compare favorably to a 2010 Pott Arsenal also opened. Granted, there's a 3x price differential, but the two weren't in the same league. I opened this to determine if there was a need to reorder. Not for me. This occupies "no man's land" for me. It's good, but not good enough to compete with the best. And at $36, it makes me wonder if I couldn't find something as compelling closer to $20. I'll check in on the next vintage hoping this one is an anomaly.
