Tuesday, January 3, 2023 - Showing much better than Caillerets last week, this is bright and focused and red fruited, still structured, but this has turned the corner towards maturity. Will be good in a few more years. Note for next time: this showed a subtle but distinct mustiness for the first 2 hours that I associate with low-level TCA, which then dissipated, but the wine then went into a shell, reinforcing my hunch. Took a few more hours to open back up, without any sign of TCA. Need to factor that in next time I open one of these.
