Wednesday, July 13, 2022 - What's that old saying, "a rising tide lifts all boats"? 2010 was & is that kind of vintage that makes almost any red burg better than it might have been in a ho-hum vintage. This has 2010's extraordinary balance, precision and added depth that has blessed so many btls from 2010 with that "something extra". Just 12yrs out this is drinking great w/ some air & served in Burg glasses. Opened 3hrs prior to dinner & slow-oxed in Burg glasses & btl. Served in the high 50s/very low 60s. This, mostly under the radar producer, put out a '10 Pezerolles to rival the best producers in the appellation in 2010. Weightlessly elegant, vineyard fresh red fruit, excellent mineral expression, emerging forest floor & lovely spice. Very complete. Indeed, "all boats do, seem to have risen" in 2010! 93+ Dang it, not recognizing the producer, I only bought one!
