lovely nose, even on day three; tart cherry/raspberry/red currant; medium body with good fruit density; bright acidity; No gravitas, but just right for me.

What's that old saying, "a rising tide lifts all boats"? 2010 was & is that kind of vintage that makes almost any red burg better than it might have been in a ho-hum vintage. This has 2010's extraordinary balance, precision and added depth that has blessed so many btls from 2010 with that "something extra". Just 12yrs out this is drinking great w/ some air & served in Burg glasses. Opened 3hrs prior to dinner & slow-oxed in Burg glasses & btl. Served in the high 50s/very low 60s. This, mostly under the radar producer, put out a '10 Pezerolles to rival the best producers in the appellation in 2010. Weightlessly elegant, vineyard fresh red fruit, excellent mineral expression, emerging forest floor & lovely spice. Very complete. Indeed, "all boats do, seem to have risen" in 2010! 93+ Dang it, not recognizing the producer, I only bought one!

PnP BYOB at a restaurant with friends. We opened several bottles and didn't consume much of any, and I ended up leaving 2/3 of this for the staff, so I didn't get to follow it for any potential development after opening. It was light red, cleanly earthy with light dried red fruit and good energy, but pretty unyielding and linear over the course of the meal. I'd hold it a while, but not too many years or you'll lose the fruit, and give it a while to aerate after opening.

Popped and poured. This is a medium red wine. On the nose, I get cherry sauce, red Jolly Ranchers, sweet tea, and a touch of earth. In the mouth, this is a dense wine with a nice interplay between red fruits and earthy sensations, all with a very slight ash undertone. The finish shows some tart cherries, but I would generally call it unenthusiastic, at least today. Overall, this is a more burly, rustic Burg, although it is drinkable with pleasure now. I probably opened this too early and the best showing is yet to come. Regardless, this is a solid bargain for red Burgundy so you really can’t go wrong. 90+ points.

Red-orange color, and high-toned scents of dried tart cherry, some rust, and dried flowers. High acidity, tight-beamed and linear on the palate, with medium-body and medium length. Might be hard to tell this from an aged Chianti. Rather austere.

Massive. Lots of structure. Tannins a go-go. Cranberry and cherry on the nose. Some fruit on the palate. Wine clearly has much more runway. See you again in 5-7 yrs.

Fruits of cherry and cranberry on the nose. Hint's of earth moving into sois bois territory but not quite there. Very subtle dried flower notes above rim of the glass. Med acid with well integrated alcohol and flavors on the palate. Thanksgiving wine pairing very well. Definitely in drinking window but could age as well.

Decanted for 4 1/2 hours, Cherry and spice and earth flavors, by the end of the evening it had really opened up. This wine has a long life ahead. Purchased a case so will be interesting how this develops ...

Overshadowed by the '10 Ballot-Millot Pèzerolles that was poured alongside this. This came across somewhat austere and shrill on the palate, with the red fruit rather lean and framed by savoury earthy notes. There's plenty of tannic bite on the back end, and though it opens up a bit with air, it's not a particularly pleasurable wine.
Medium ruby. Initially, very reserved nose, and a bit shrill on the palate; heavy in steely minerality but showing very little fruit. With nearly three hours of air, the nose began to show the slightest bit of dried flowers and the palate a bit of cherry, cranberry, and earth. Overall, I'm not getting the gamut and complexity that other tasters did 2-3 years ago. Hold.

Monthly Tasting Group: 2010 Vintage in France (Tilia, Mpls): Medium dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Red fruits, aggressive tannins, spiced, lots of minerals, subtle dried earth,. Very youthful, nose is tight, oak spice. Needs 5 years. 90-ish currently.

Westchester Wine School: Affordable Pinot Noir: Drank at WWS pinot tasting. Pretty ruby color at core. Very fragrant floral nose here showing roses, violets and cherries. Cherries, strawberries, & perhaps some cranberries here too. Quite tannic belying the wine's youth. Pleasant round mouthfeel, despite the high acidity level and grippy tannins. Lots of earth & spice to go with what seemed like cherry lifesavers. Very nice complexity & excellent length too. A very young wine that needs bottle age, but good now and likely great in 5-10 years.

Please open this wine AT LEAST 2-3 hours before enjoying, because if you even look at it in the next five years you're committing infanticide. Once it finally opened up it it gave the freshest of berry notes and earth on the nose and fruit on the palate secreted behind tannins long and round enough to last forever. Beautiful.

Really nice Pommard from a producer that nobody ever talks about. Right off the bat this is richly fruited and enveloping on the palate - not the tough Pommard stereotype at all. There is a succulent gamey inflection to the fruit and a touch of gravelly earth (though the latter is nowhere near as strong as in the Clos de Vergers we opened next).

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): At the end of a long tasting this was opened in bad judgment; pop and pour at room temp which made this a little shut down and less expressive than previous bottles; we were still able to polish it off fairly easy.

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): Ruby purple; crunchy, hard red fruit with the richness of more purple fruit, tart cherry, cranberry, clove, roses violets and tulips; larger scaled on the palate, sweet dark cherry, cranberry, plush, vanilla, latent tannin; so drinkable, need more!; 92-93.
The bottle was absolutely delicious with plumper red and dark fruit and softer structure than I'm use to in Pommard, some spice from the oak; will definitely change over the coming years but I really enjoy drinking it now.

Enchanting bottle of wine. Over the course of several hours I got dark cherry, tart cherry, cumin, baking chocolate, stone, and seashell. Notes definitely evolved, and the only reason this is a 91 and not a 93 is because I feel I drank it too early, and w/out food.

Pretty solid example of Pommard, drinking surprisingly well in its youth. The nose worried me a little bit but no one else seemed concerned.
