Saturday, March 8, 2014 - Decanted about 1 hour. This wine was fantastic from the first pour, but kept on getting better. Slight smokiness and earthiness on a cherry based nose. Medium bodied with underlying earthiness and minerality on the tongue highlighted by lively raspberry and cherry fruit flavors. This wine is very smooth with just enough tannins to provide structure. Finishes long. Elegant and on the darker side falvor wise, this paired perfectly with grilled lamb.
