Likes this wine:

Thursday, September 12, 2013 - Foolish of me to open it so young, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. Even with plenty of airtime, this remained tightly coiled, showing deep briary fruits and unmistakeable Chinon typicity on the nose, while clearly keeping its secondary charms in reserve. On the palate it's no different, with a strong, albeit fine-grained, tannic clamp and the wood still present but nonetheless showing great acidity and balance. Just so much packed into this dense and beautiful wine. Don't make the same mistake I did: leave it alone for at least five more years.
