Palate is smooth in texture, offering rich flavors, but not too much complexity; some nuttiness, more slight diaper, but pretty shut down. Some potatoes? Weird. Nice eruption of intensity and depth on the finish. Really rich with a nice evolving depth and intensity. Really coating, creamy finish. I definitely think something odd was going on here... perhaps this just needed more air, but it felt it was better than it showed. 91?
