Friday, December 2, 2022 - Golden yellow hue, with hint of green at meniscus. Nose of mangoes and vanilla, hints of wild white flowers and the tang of orange peel. Palate medium weight, with a plumpness of texture, giving sensuous mouthfeel. Fresh marmalade, apricots and light honey giving way to greengage fresh acidity, coating the mouth with pleasure and unctuousness. Good finish that satisfies more with tingling playfulness than great length. Lovely example of mature Auslese from the great Donnhoff. Mine was white capsule, not gold and half bottle. Drink up and enjoy before acidity begins to fade.
