Saturday, September 29, 2012 - Some nasty good Syrah from Dom Cote Sainte-Epine here. Deep ruby in color. A very sweet sexy nose of violets, vanilla, port wine, blueberry, spice box, and a hint of chocolate. A lot of black currant on the attack with classic northern Rhone blueberry fruit and stony minerality on the mid palate. Tannins are aggressive but sweet and grippy not clunky. An excellent young St. Joseph.
