The palate carries sweet raspberries, plums and blackcurrant, chocolate, vanilla, cinamon, cloves and nutmeg. The fruit is intense, but the balance is good. It has a bright acid profile and its fine tannins paint the mouth, driving a long and juicy finish. Not everyone’s style, but a real crowd pleaser that goes very well with roast meats, particularly fatty lamb. A wine for Winter.
