Saturday, June 5, 2021 - I'll admit I had high hopes for this wine although didn't really have the time to do the prep exactly right. Meant to decant for sediment but ended up having to decant for about an hour to do a work call in there. The wine was very subtle and quiet and that was esp clear next to a '13 Horsepower which was a lot more intense. Missing some of the power I associate with Northern Rhone (although to be fair this to me just confirms that Cote Rotie and Cornas are more my jam than Hermitage).
