Tuesday, May 10, 2016 - This wine was a little strange to me. Hanging on to the idea that this one is a bright, airy pinot. But alas it is not. It's NOT a very full bodied pinot, but neither is it light. The two notes that continue to repeat themselves are clove and grilled meat. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but when you expected something more like raspberry sorbet, it's a little shocking when you don't get what you expected to get. Opened to some dull acidity that kind of broke into the middle and really ramped up in the end. Clove and grilled meat on the front and middle. Hint of dirty raspberry towards the finish. The middle of this wine actually went really well with pickles, and did a very good job of complementing the tuna salad sandwiches it was served with.
