Monday, February 5, 2018 - Best showing yet. Love the vibrant red berries on the nose, along with violets, coffee, leather, grilled herbs, earth and pepper. Tannins still strong but accessible, acidity is bright, and the fruit (cherries and plums) is juicy and delicious. Complex elements of pepper, leather, broth, clove, black tea and anise come out, much more so on day 2. This is so, so good, and drinks like a CdP multiple times the price point of this wine. Last bottle - damn!
