Consistent with prior notes. This is just an enjoyable and deep wine. Cherries, green leaves, lots of layers. Open a day before to breethe and at 15-15 degrees.
Tasting in Châteauneuf-du-Pape; 2/5/2015-2/7/2015 (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, France): Smoky and meaty, the nose is very dark and brooding. A bit more fruit forward on the body, with black raspberries and spice, leading into a finish of fine tannin and balanced acidity. This has a nice freshness and is very approachable now.
A mid-winter visit to Châteauneuf-du-Pape; 2/5/2015-2/7/2015 (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, France): Quite soft and approachable. Darker and more dusky than the intense 2012. Some soy aspects, dark.

Nice nose of ripe strawberries and minerality... loads of salty strawberries, nice minerality, very delicate, long finish...
