Thursday, October 28, 2021 - Rescue Animal gathering at Jailbreak - all Burgundy (Jailbreak Brewery, Laurel, MD): Incredibly hedonistic noes displaying perfectly ripe rich red fruit, strawberry, a hint of cherry pie, sap, noticeable sous bois adding complexity, a hint of toasted oak/sesame, spicy spices, and earth. Beautifully integrated palate, layers upon layers of rich red fruit, rich yet fluid, excellent balance, beautifully detailed, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a seamless long generous rich red fruit driven finish with a hint of sesame and sap at the end. I am surprised by the strong sous bois development, not that I am complaining. Despite less than a decade old, this is drinking incredibly well. My WOTN.
