Friday, October 12, 2018 - This was excellent for the first half hour or so after opening. Focused on the palate with furniture polish, nuts and candied lemons. Like some-one had taken a blowtorch to the younger version of the wine and burned off all the fat leaving a linear, precise experience. Reminded me of the 1991 Gran Reserva I had a couple years ago though with less intensity. After half an hour though it began to fall apart, becoming bitter, and oaky and hot. Too bad.
