Wednesday, February 5, 2014 - A perfect bottle sourced by Omar Khan in Europe and enjoyed with dinner at the Four Seasons in Geneva. Beautiful nose of medicinal cherries and minerals. Needed time in the decanter as this is very much a '93 with a steely structure and austere profile. That being said, the wine is perfectly balanced and gorgeous within a medium-bodied package with a texture of liquid granite and an extremely refined character. The cherry fruit is crisp and fresh but this wine is all about the incredible mineral flavors right now. Still fairly primary but drinking beautifully in a vin de garde style; the fireworks truly begin on the finish with a secondary kick of flavor and complexity that only appears in the greatest of wines. This has a very long and bright future. Wow! 96+
