Saturday, May 31, 2014 - Decanted, began drinking 30 mins later. Restrained and a thinner on the palate at the start. Wasn't that interesting until the food arrived, at which point it took a big leap up. Great acidity -- went well with both pasta and calamari. Not a ton of fruit -- a vague red berry impression. Hours in it expands to medium palate weight. I like this, and was glad to reacquaint myself with piedirosso, but I also don't need this bottle on a monthly basis.
