Thursday, September 28, 2017 - Wife wanted something to go with ham quiche, and I didn't want a white or Rose, and didn't want a pinot, grenache, or zin. So, HELLO BARBARESCO! This one poured with a medium density rusty rose color. This wine was a little 'thin' at first, but two hours later it was ROCKING. Lots of herbal black cherry on the nose and palate, a little earthy, some mint and hint of tobacco leaf in the middle. Finishes a little acidic, with really great fruit that just kept building the longer this one was open. I think I'm going to let this other bottle sit for a LONG while before opening it!
